Passion for worship
If worship is the offering of our lives to God, then Nicole Denae’s voice is the musical instrument through which it is raised. Worship has been the single greatest passion of her heart since she was a young child.
Nicole describes worship as a ‘lifestyle’, and that phrase best describes the reality of her life.
Nicole Denae has been gifted with an amazing voice that has been used to carry people into the presence of God on worship stages and church platforms across the Southeast. As a young girl singing in the Youth Choir of her church, it was clear that Nicole had something special.
Her gift took her from being the youngest singer in the church choir to leading worship on stages that minister to thousands.
In those early years, Nicole learned that worship is a privilege, not a performance.
Education & Training
Although Nicole was naturally gifted to sing, and unusually anointed to lead others in worship, that did not diminish her desire to be formally trained in music and worship. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music with a concentration in Vocal Performance from Clayton State University, and a Master of Arts degree in Worship Studies from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA.
The evidence of her unique anointing and specialized training starts to shine each time she graces a stage to lead audiences into the presence of God.
Start of career
Nicole Denae’s career began to blossom when she began singing on the music team of national recording artist Ricardo Sanchez. Nicole says that Ricardo was her biggest musical mentor, and her time singing with his team (RMusic) was an experience that changed her life. While singing with RMusic, she was introduced to different forms of worship music and was challenged to expand beyond the mold of traditional worship expressions.
Nicole began serving as the Worship and Arts Director of New Life Church in 2013, and added a new dimension to her ministry: being a team leader. The greatest joy of Nicole’s music ministry is the opportunity to be a part of a dynamic and engaging team. Her infectious worship spirit permeates throughout the music ministry that she leads, and her leadership impact can be seen in the many students and protégés that are learning the art of music worship under her tutelage.
Her specialized gift as a Worship Leader has given her the opportunity to serve in recurring music roles for ministries of all sizes, including Free Chapel in Gainesville, GA, Victory World Church in Norcross, GA, and a large array of other ministries.
A new recording artist
It was out of her own healing that she discovered that God had not only given her a voice but more importantly, He had given her a message. In 2016 she wrote her first single, “Beautiful”. Beautiful speaks of the wonders of God’s love in transforming the broken into something beautiful.
Nicole’s single demonstrates her commitment to ministering music that speaks power to the broken and proclaims the glory of God’s love. Nicole Denae has found her voice, and the purpose of her life is to inspire other people to use their voices in worshipping our awesome and amazing God.
